Before you start moaning about photoshops etc: I don’t think this is a photoshop. If I had thought it would have been then I probably wouldn’t have posted it. I have not much knowledge about Photoshop but the reason why I think it isn’t a photoshop is the reflection of the outboards in the water. But then again: I could be wrong.
Nevertheless this is a typical example of WTF??? followed by WHY?? Why-o-why?? First: let’s assume you are in need of so much power, then assume the boat can handle it, then assume you can handle it. Wouldn’t it then just been cheaper and easier to mount 4 x 500 hp instead of 8 x 250 hp?? Or: 3 x 650 hp.
It surely would make things easier on the manoeuvring front!!
Is there somebody out there who can enlighten me on any of the above subjects??
UPDATE (24-03-2009):
More information has surfaced about this little boat, as already mentioned in the comments below.
It is not a photo-shop, it’s real: she is a drugsrunner, build in the UK and seized by the British Customs, for more info: see here.

It’s a drug running boat for the English Channel.
Built by Crompton Marine…now out of business.
