Koningin Emma
IMO : n/a
Build : ??
The North Sea is a bit safer now than usual: my vessel, me & the rest of the crew are at the moment in IJmuiden, the Netherlands, safely moored alongside for various reasons. And while staring out of the windows admiring the view of the Corus Steelplant I spotted this vessel: the Koningin Emma, named after one of the former queens of the Netherlands. Doesn’t she look like they just put an inverted hugh bathtub on a ancient looking hull?? It is used to do harbourtours here in IJmuiden and she fits right in with the scenery: ugly plants and ancient WW2 bunkers.

Ugly?
Don’t know, maybe. Her captain build her himself, so i’ve been told.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Have you seen her captain?
