Build : 1992 by Finnyards – Rauma in Finland, nr 310 as Radisson Diamond

While we are going on about cruiseships (see above): I stumbled upon this one as well: the Asia Star. From the stern she looks reasonably normal, except for the small parts of the hull protruding on both sides, And those have a reason when looking at the bow, let’s circle around towards the bow:

OMFG, She has no bow!! She is sinking, call the salvage company….

Oh, wait a sec…..hold your horses, there is no bow because there is no need for: she is a catamaran. And a pretty ugly one for that matter!

She is actually a SWATH: apparently gives the passengers a more joyful and stable ride.

Well, I guess there wont be a Titanic Leo&Kath-moment on the bow of this blunt floating party palace.
