IMO : ???
Build : 2011 by Donjon Shipbuilding and Repair Hull – Port Erie, Pa in the USA, nr 108
Bowsprite & Tugster both tipped me about this strange baby-blue giraffe necked tug, independently of eachother & exactly around the same time. And that was even during the building of this tug, that couldn’t bode well for the future. They were right, look at the above & below pictures…..damn, where did this whole design process go wrong?

I guess that must have been somewhere in the beginning…..haven’t these guys read this blog?? And why the blue? It soooo makes it look like a softie tug.
2 more pictures, from 2 other angles: just to show off the complete ugly package.

Ha Ha looks like an airport control tower! Any pics of the barge it pushes?
i love our softie tug it took alot to build it from scratch but none of yall would know that.
You are full of it and I like the color.
i worked on building that tug…it is anything but ugly. i am proud of what we are getting accomplished down there
Looks arnt everything. This tug has almost 11,000 hp..Most powerful tug on the great lakes.
the tug was named after my uncle i could care less what it looks like it was named after a wonderful man RIP Uncle Dale
It is clearly evident that Seabart and Stuart confirm that ignorance is bliss. If you don’t know the history of the color, design or shape then you are better off not offering your opinion.
Sorry about that Seabart. I just read WHO is WHO and now i understand your pathetic situation. Good Luck!
I agree KJ if someone doesnt understand a complete concept behind a design then they are better off offering no opinion @ all its best not to show your complete ignorance all @ once gradually show it off a little @ a time! S&S
KJ: thank you for your sympathy for my pathetic situation but I can assure you that I’m very happy with it. And in some cases ignorance is indeed bliss.
That tug is a piece of shit and it is not completed. Plus there is already an estimated 3000+hrs of rework on the barge. Erie has few qualified shipbuilders and management is a joke. KBJ, karma is a bitch glad my dad’s name isn’t on that hunk of crap.
That tug has a twin built about 10 years earlier. It’s name is Joyce L. VanEnkevort.
Ken Boothe Sr. and Joyce L. VanEnkevort are far from twins.
Screw you SeaBart and bm, you have no clue. bm I must know you, if you have a problem with KBJ then I would personally like to address them for you, he is and will always be a very talented ship builder, a wonderful friend, son, husband and father.
