Seawell
IMO : 8324567
Build : 1987 by North East Shipbuilders Ltd. – Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK, nr 24 as Stena Seawell
Woooohoooo…..another one of those chaotic offshore vessels again, you gotta love them for their sturdy ugliness. All kinds of things sticking out, pointing here and there, a lot of equipment crammed on a very small deck and a nice looking helicopter deck to top it all off.
I guess this one had better be called SeaBad or Sea-Unwell……….
And she got a sistership as well, same looks, same floating chaos: the Wellservicer (IMO : 8324579)
yup, same old same except for the ugly scaffolding structure standing just aft of the accommodation.
So much details on that ship!
The ship was actually built in Sunderland and not Newcastle, another well documented factually incorrect article. Never fails to make me laugh people who don’t know what they are talking about and write under “assumed names”. Well done Seabart, I can also think of several other names for you too ha ha.
Right, as usual some know-all puts pen to paper WITHOUT the correct facts. My father and one of my brothers did sea trials on this vessel and her sister ship,Stena and these sailed out of the River Wear,Sunderland after being built there,NOT the River Tyne.!!!
