Flashback week 12-2009

No words this time, just the links.

The Svanen, even dogs are running away from her, afraid.

Coastal Celebration and her friends have outdated murals on their sides.

Mirambeena comes from Down-under and is the unrecognized Tasmanian Devil.

Silly sails and more floating ridicule.

A purple tug: NEC Spirit.

Up Periscope : Camaro IV.

Pimp my Ship

Yesterday I did an attempt (here) in the socalled art of photoshopping…..wasn’t very successful but I managed to get my message across (I think). And today I stumble upon (via http://www.gCaptain.com) a website that has a small challenge: Pimp my Ship. Read more about it here on 5956n.typepad.com.

Basically you deliver the ideas and they do the art. Besides eternal honor and credit for the idea there is nothing to gain. Might be fun though, it’s a page to keep an eye on!

So let the ideas coming! I’m already brainstorming!

Flashback week 11-2009

Week 11-2009, last trip for me for my previous employer, the (then-)new one has also already gotten the tag of previous as I got a chance I just couldn’t let go. So this week I’m again starting of something new in my career. Exciting!! Anyway: back to the flashback:

A floating castle on the rivers of Germany, Belgium & the Netherlands: Vlotburg.

5 tumbled down bridges turned into ferries: first one is Dewitt C. Greer.

Tertnes is a stonedumper but it’s about time she got dumped herself.

A play with names closed of the Impeccable post.

Part 3 already of Green ships, it’s about time I did another one.

A little cute rescue craft lost her way from the bath tub : Hellmuth Manthe.

And the sunday special was about a strangely hulled Imperial yacht, the Livadia.

Flashback week 10-2009

Here we go again with another one of the flashbacks, can you believe we are already at week 10 in 2010?? It seems just like the other day that this year started, also I’m still not used to writing ’10 on for a date etc……well, I guees it’s true what they say: Time flies when you’re having fun!

The Bonanza Express kicked things off this week in 2009.

The Pride of America seems to be a bit dented pride to me.

We saw flying fishes on a fishing boat: Mestra Afonso.

AIDA Cruises uses capitals to make themselves known as if the paintjob of there vessels wasn’t enough yet.

De Boei had a very buoyant camouflage paintjob.

Another prime candidate for a the new TV-show “Who wants to have a nose job” : EDT Ares.

And the Pride of Al Salam 95 made us finish this week screaming and running away.
