Buid (till this far) : 1988 by Stocznia im Lenina, Gdansk, Poland, nr ?? as Stena Polonia
This is not quit a ship, not yet…..and probably won’t be for long. This is the unfinished hull of the Regent Sky, build started in 1988 for what initially was to be a ferry. Plans changed and she was towed to Greece where she was lengthened but after that the company (Regency Cruises) went into liquidation…oops! Now the hull of the vessel hasn’t moved much since.
It has been in possession by a bank since the bankruptcy of above mentioned company and they have put it for sale years & years ago but nobody wants it!! Talking about ugly!
If you take a closer look you can see that the bridge is actually extending almost over the bow…not a good look!
The latest gossip is that it has been bought last year (after 20 years of laying around & doing nothing) by Miami-based Kyma Ship Management.

it’s similar to the big cruise ferries of the viking line. but this was back in the 1980s. this ship wouldn’t stand out ugly in the backdrop of the newer designed cruise ships.
